I had the strangest dream last night But now that I know the feeling I know it feels right Cause I’m feeling like We could do whatever we want to It’s up to me It’s up to you And I could pick you up and then we cruise Turn up the car radio Singin’ let me get loose Until we’re tokin’ in the nighttime At the beach and pretty soon We would swim for the moon Lift off into the night Chasing dreams ’til I’m out of sight I have a vision Gotta make it a plan I saw us dancin’ barefoot in the sand Let’s go to sleep and wake up on the moon Now that we’ve got the chance we can make it count Up there we go round and round No gravity tryin’ to hold us down And in my dreams I wake up on the moon Now that we fell in love we can make it count Like the kids on the hill we need to get lost Wake up on the moon Now that we fell in love we can make it count Like the kids on the hill we need to get lost

Slow For You 05:08
I get around The phantom of the town Now and then I wish I was Walking up a steady course like you Oh no the boy ain’t got a clue They say oh no What’s that boy gonna do The kids they wanna live so fast Show it off and make it last Day after day Round and round Now that they are chasing dreams that big I’m guessing what you think of me is that I’m too slow for you Slow for you Slow for you I get around The phantom of the town I know at times you wish you were A little less of you and more of me I recall from an early day The world would always turn my way Round and round And round again Now that big names wrote their stories I’m working on mine I’m sorry If I’m too slow for you Slow for you Slow for you
3.
When we’re old Oh baby keep my heart close Just so I know It can never turn cold But baby don’t you go mad For good lovin’ could always go bad Let our hearts grow strong instead When we’re old Oh time will take its toll And leave us bold It’s a shame I know But baby don’t you get scared For good lovin’ could always go bad Let our hearts grow strong instead Older and older I am fine with that But don’t you get scared Baby don’t you go mad For we know that good love Could always go bad Let our hearts grow strong instead Older and older I am fine with that But don’t you go mad When we’re old

Starlit sky and bright lit streets Hold on to my thoughts and memories With every look around goes another piece To everyone around I send one last greet Don’t you break my heart when we go apart Don’t you know I’m true to your Baby blue eyes Don’t tell me no lies Baby blue eyes Don’t look into mine Baby blue eyes Don’t tell me no lies Baby blue eyes Airplane seat Don’t turn me down Give me a smile Bring me a town Baby blue eyes and the man alone Don’t bring me no cry Just take me home Don’t you know I’m true to your Baby blue eyes Don’t tell me no lies Baby blue eyes Don’t look into mine Baby blue eyes Don’t tell me no lies Baby blue eyes Don’t tell me no lies Baby blue eyes Look into the sky See baby blue eyes Don’t tell me no lies

I’ve got a bad bad feeling That makes me wanna flee Wish I could crawl up on the ceiling When you’re in the room with me Cause I can see the issue It ain’t hard to tell We get along too well See I found a love that is easy I wanna keep it that way Times may be rough but never ugly That’s more than most can say There’s nothing wrong with making friends Trying to silence my conscience But you and I know that would be a lie So there is no use to pretend The closer we get The more trouble comes ahead And I can tell We get along too well See I found a love that is easy I wanna keep it that way Times may be rough but never ugly And I’ve seen enough to say that I’ve got a girl She’s the sweetest I don’t wanna loose her taste To any other just to prove that I can could turn it all to waste See I found a love that is easy I wanna keep it that way Times may be rough but never ugly And I’ve seen enough to say that I’ve got a girl She’s the sweetest I don’t wanna loose her taste To any other just to prove that I can could turn it all to waste

They say There’s plenty of beauties Plenty of fish in the sea And some will try and turn Honest love to misery Oh boy Look out for a special one That is worth holding onto Be sure she won’t let you down And try to love her easy Easy Love her easy Believe me It’s all you gotta do For love won’t go hard on you And when she’s off to see the wide world You hope she’d come back for you She’s not the kind of girl To run off for something new Cause she is a special one And she’s worth holding onto Yeah she won’t let you down If you only love her easy Easy Love her easy Believe me It’s all you gotta do For love won’t go hard on you Easy Love her easy And that’s how she loves me It’s all that she can do It’s all that I can do It’s all that you can do
7.
Do you remember those days We were by the river Climbing castles of rock Until a new year had turned them to shiver And time was just a word Its ticking overheard When we listened to Viceroy Oh goodbye summer I will remember you It may seem unreal looking back The time won’t pass until we gotta say Bye baby goodbye summer Let me hang on to your Simple tricks turned us into kids Who never felt so blue Down by the poolside We were swimming Above our shadows In the moonlight The world has been a friend Who let us play pretend And hope we’d never get older Oh goodbye summer I will remember you It may seem unreal looking back The time won’t pass until we gotta say Bye baby goodbye summer Let me hang on to your Simple tricks turned us into kids Who never felt so blue
8.
Hey boy I know it seems so hard When the whole world is watching And running its mouth apart I guess those nights are keeping you awake Now that so many choices are waiting To be your mistakes Oh no But whatever they say Try to be a better man today It’s never too late to be changing your way But hey boy I know it seems so hard Now the spotlight is on you Will it leave you in the dark Not if you try and learn to speak from your heart Now listen what it tells you And we call it a brand new start And don’t let it slip away And you’ll find yourself among better men today It’s never too late to be heading that way Hey boy see after all it’s not that hard

about

More than anything else 'Goodbye Summer' is Peter’s personal farewell to teenage years, the carefree times of daydreaming and romancing. In this context summer can be understood both as the most vivid season of the year as well as the symbol of youth and freedom.

Although it has some heavily nostalgic story telling (like the title track Goodbye Summer) the album also features snapshots of the present revelations. The song Slow For You is reflecting on one’s own speed of life and learning to accept it instead of trying to match it up to others. The songs When We're Old, Love Her Easy, Getting Along Too Well all shared personal love life lessons that are easily relatable.

The last track Be A Better Man is originally inspired by Donald Trump for his destructive attitude.Yet it's not dedicated to him entirely. The song aims more towards reflecting on one’s own actions, calling on everybody to be the truest and most honest version of oneself.

Peter is very much inspired by the record sound of the 70s (Beach Boys, Cat Stevens, Paul Simon) and modern indie pop/rock artists. 'Goodbye Summer' is another evidence for the uprising era of bedroom producers, such as Peter The Human Boy's personal heros Mac Demarco, Ruban Nielson (Unkown Mortal Orchestra) and Kevin Parker (Tame Impala), all of which sparked Peter's curiosity on how it's possible to write, perform, record and mix everything you hear on a record yourself.
